To engage children and promote school readiness and overall development I integrate interactive instructional activities and technology into the classroom. I guide the direction of instruction and learning through student assessment and data analysis to ensure adherence with the high standards and expectations of the school. As a mentor to my colleagues regarding teaching strategies and classroom management, I sustain a highly performing instructional team to aid children in their growth. Selected highlights include:*Elevating instructional quality, which resulted in being selected by the Board of Trustees and school-wide administration as the inaugural recipient of the Holland Hall Master Teaching Chair Program. *Designing and implementing the current Pre-Kindergarten curriculum, learning strategies, programming, and standards to engage students and support progression. *Building strong home to school connections by promoting the existing NAEYC anti-bias curriculum best practices.*Bolstering institutional growth by attaining departmental status for Early Childhood Education as an advocate for research-based improvements to the existing Primary School structure. *Strengthening cross functional collaboration and leadership by serving as the Head of Primary School Search Committee (Co-Chair), Early Childhood Department Chair, School Technology Committee member, Mentor Teacher, Faculty Growth and Evaluation Committee member, and New Faculty Orientation Committee member. *Fostering professional development within the global early childhood education community by presenting “Reimagining Vygotsky: Examining the Relationship Between Sociocultural Theory, Technology, and Social Development” at The Early Years Conference in Vancouver, Canada. and “Homework for Preschoolers? How Take-Home Reading Bags Support a Strong Home-School Connection” at the OKAEYC Annual Conference in Edmond, Oklahoma. Show less
