I really enjoyed working with Vanessa on the 'Community: Dirty Words' research report. She took on briefings and ran things seamlessly with very little direction, taking the lead and communicating a plan that was easy to follow. She delegated tasks clearly to people amid different time zones and availabilities - not an easy task! - but also slotted into any supporting role that needed filling along the way. Vanessa went above and beyond in many ways, but I was particularly grateful for her proactive pursuit of relevant and interesting sources that made the research so much better. Not to mention the fact that she brought so much existing theory to the table. An academic, yes, but also able to go out into the world and come back with artefacts made a difference. As with any research project, Vanessa had to process a lot of incoming material, and she not only did it scarily fast (I'm jealous), but with the active inclusion of the whole team, creating findings that had a clear and engaging narrative. Thank you, Vanessa, for such a wonderful shared experience.

Vanessa was the team lead for a whitepaper I collaborated on, and I would work with her again in a heartbeat. I especially appreciated her ability to navigate asymmetrical information and a tight deadline with a can-do attitude and excellent communication with everyone in the group. She ensured that tasks were accomplished smoothly and with great depth. Her academic background was valuable, as she condensed a lot of material and information into a straightforward story for the report. I'm looking forward to seeing what she does next, and I am sure she will be a great addition to any project! We'll definitely work with her again on our agency projects.
