Junior Enterprises are nonprofit consulting organization run and managed 100% by students. Expand is one of those (there are 16 JE's in Belgium , 1500 around the world). Expand stands out as the very first JE to put sustainability at the heart of its missions and concerns. Our young members, mainly engineers and bio-engineers, have the skills to support companies in their ecological transition, as well as in the development and optimization of their technological tools.

Apr 2020 - Jun 2020
As a co-founder of Ride for Corona, I embarked on a cycling journey with a team of 60 cyclists aged between 13 to 55 years old to raise funds for the Pasteur Institute. Our initiative aimed to contribute towards the global fight against COVID-19 by supporting the research and development of treatments and vaccines. The idea for the initiative came about when I was discussing with a group of friends about how we could help during the pandemic. We realized that we could use our passion for cycling to raise awareness and funds for a good cause. We rallied a team of 60 cyclists from different age groups and backgrounds, all united by a common goal to make a difference during these challenging times. We cycled a total of 8,250 km in the Bois de la Cambre over two uninterrupted weeks, with a maximum of two cyclists at a time to respect COVID-19 rules applied in Belgium I am proud to have co-founded this initiative and worked alongside a team of 60 dedicated cyclists who shared our vision to make a difference. Together, we proved that even in the darkest of times, there is hope and that we can all play a part in creating a better future. Show less
