Valerie got her start in real estate in 2004. Valerie had been home raising her children, Spenser and Morgan, for 15 years, and was looking for a career path that involved working with people. Real estate was a great choice for Valerie, as she loved people and had a passion for home and interior design. Fast forward 13 years and Valerie is a proud realtor working for RE/MAX’s Saskatoon East location.Valerie prides herself in being more than just a realtor. Her experience has taught her how to read people and their nuances, and find out what they really want in a home. Often, people can be unsure how to articulate their needs and wants, and Valerie is there to find out. “I say that when I work with people, they start out as clients but we end up as friends,” says Valerie. “Home buying and selling is a rigorous process, and you really do develop a relationship with people very quickly, helping them manage a major milestone in their lives.”She is also the realtor for Meridian Development, an accomplishment she is very proud of. “I have been fortunate to work with Meridian selling their beautiful projects, including the Hideaway, the King George and Luxe on Broadway,” says Valerie. “Currently, I am selling units in Evergreen, their latest project at Sequoia Square.” It’s a moderately priced condo project but you would never know it by looking at the gorgeous finishes. Valerie has high praise for the Meridian projects. “ They are great builders and great people,” says Valerie. “And their work is second-to-none.”When Valerie isn’t buying and selling homes, she’s an active member and volunteer in the community. She’s been heavily involved with the local hospital foundations for years, something she is very passionate about. “All of the committees I work on are full of dedicated, fun people who give so much of their time. I never get tired of it,” says Valerie. “Helping worthy causes to raise needed money is a great way to spend my time.”
