My role at Audemic involves developing Front-end features for our web application - a productivity tool for researchers and students that generates audio from journal articles. I'm working with Ruby on Rails 7, Stimulus JS and Tailwind CSS. One of my key responsibilities at Audemic has been ensuring our platform meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines AAA compliance. This has involved making every element of our web application accessible, from providing form input assistance to ensuring keyboard accessibility and optimizing screen readers. It's been a rewarding experience to use my expertise to make research accessible for all users, regardless of their abilities. Being a part of this team has allowed me to work alongside a product manager and designer, and I've enjoyed the collaborative process of building a product that truly makes a difference in the academic research community. The web application is built using Ruby on Rails 7, Stimulus JS, AWS, Sidekiq, Tailwind CSS and more Show less

Performed statistical analysis on Danish patient heart data with the goal of determining the prognostic significance of atrial fibrillation on non-ischemic heart failure. I then presented a research poster at the symposium of the Danish of Study Abroad Science Research Practicum. Performed research on Arabidopsis thaliana using CRISPR-Cas9 as a gene editing tool to modify the AB15 gene. Analyzed MS/MS data with Scaffold PRoteome software to identify and quantify proteins of Arabidopsis. Performed agrobacterial transformation of plant cells, using PCR to quantify mRNA levels. Examined the effect of osmotic stress on root length, using qPCR to quantify DNA levels. Performed research on Arabidopsis thaliana using CRISPR-Cas9 as a gene editing tool to modify the AB15 gene.
