I feel honored to have worked in a team with Valerie, the director of the V4 conference 2020. Her ability to handle multiple teams was unlike any I’ve seen before in a student association and enhanced the productivity, efficiency and quality of work in each team. I especially valued her strong sense of team-work. She fostered the team spirit by incorporating team-building and off-site meetings within the conference planning phase. She made sure that our bi-weekly meetings were often accompanied by home-baked brownies- Talk about motivating a team! I am impressed how she handled so many teams, corporate and educational partners and stakeholders at the same time: she was always well-structured and had an incomparable overview of tasks, deadlines and duties of each team. Moreover, one can see in the well planned way and by developing exhaustive task schedules, coupled with still being open to ideas coming from the team, the topic of organizing events and conferences is a big passion of Valerie. She is willing to go beyond the required and ordinary duties of a conference director and goes the extra mile to secure an excellent execution of events, in our case the conference including more than five single-planned events. During the unfortunate and unpredictable situation of Covid-19, the conference got cancelled, and although it was a tense situation Valerie kept a clear head and acted highly responsible towards Corporate partners, participants and team members. That skill often takes time to develop among young professionals, but it seemed to come perfectly naturally to her. As a team leader and especially in the context of organizing conferences and events Valerie earns my highest recommendation. Valerie is a true asset for any position requiring organizational and leadership skills! I hope to work with Valerie again in the future!

Working with Valerie on the V4 CEMS conference 2020 was always a pleasure and I really enjoyed collaborating with her on the project. Having her as the conference director was amazing, Valerie always kept an overview of all the tasks and the timeline, while giving me the freedom I needed to excel in my contribution to the overall conference. I always felt valued by Valerie and very much enjoyed the trust she put into my work, while giving advice and guidance when needed. Valerie easily established a very comfortable and friendly relationship with the whole team, while we could all work on a highly professional level. Valerie's positive attitude was always appreciated by everyone working closely to her, making the overall working atmosphere extremely enjoyable. Even when the conference got cancelled due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, Valerie kept her positive attitude and utilised her problem solving skills to support the CEMS Global Head Office to turn the conference, with several other business schools in Europe, into a virtual conference. I would like to thank Valerie for her constant commitment and passion over the course of the organisation of the conference and wish her all the best for the future!
