• Collect multiple wastewater samples to perform quality control processing by conducting laboratory tests such as pH, alkalinity, suspended solids, nitrogen, ammonia, and others. • Perform routine inspections of treatment plant equipment consisting of pumps, aeration blower motors, and actuator valves, to name a few. • Perform regular maintenance on plant equipment to ensure effective, ongoing operations. Regular maintenance includes oil changes, greasing, valve exercising, and breaking down pumps to clean out.• Document/record all information pertaining to the treatment plant operations. Information such as laboratory results and total flow meters are recorded via computerized spreadsheet, while facility maintenance and routine daily inspections are documented in a designated log book.• Monitor treatment plant operations through a Supervised Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) program, and respond to alarm callouts.• Assembling information for a new asset management program, which requires an abundance of data collection from every component of the treatment plant. This is an ongoing project beginning in early May 2021.• Promote and execute safety policies and regulations; whether by wearing appropriate PPE, reading chemical labels and SDS, or entering a confined space, safety is always a primary concern of mine.
