Job description: The aim of my position is to support the internationalization process of Italian furniture companies throu business matching an lead generation activities with key players on targets markets. After a first phase of country analysis, market analysis and competitor analysis, we identify target markets and we start building a solid network with local operators in both b2b and b2c channels (specifically with architect and design firms, developers and contractors and distributors); we activate partnership with local suppliers and institutions in order to get easy access to relevant contacts and resources; we design activities and events, from concept to detailed operations plan, in order to offer the best possible solution to our clients, both in term of generated leads and time effectivness. As part of a team, generally I take part in most of these steps, from creative and stategic thinking to the implementation of all key activities. Working as export manager for Asian market at Modenese Gastone, I am responsible for building the commercial network in different developing countries through the following activities: - scouting the market looking for local partners; - participating in commercial missions organized by chambers of commerce, embassies or other organizations; - evaluating business opportunities in order to support investment decisions; - attending events and international exhibitions to collect information about market trends and customer preferences for the luxury and lifestyle industry; - reporting feedback to support the R&D function; In order to perform these tasks I’ve acquired travelling experiences in several countries such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Mongolia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia developing a deep knowledge about economic and cultural trends in Asia. In order to build a stable and well-connected distribution system - I perform ongoing market and competitor analysis and benchmarking; - I personally negotiate with local buyers such as furniture showrooms, shopping malls, architects and design studios, - I manage complex interior design projects for high-income Chinese customers coordinating the different parts involved; - I keep networking and public relations with local customers and medias, - I plan online and offline marketing campaigns, - I perform reporting activities such as budgeting and margin analysis to plan short and long term strategies together with the company’s board of directors During my experience in the Chinese market I’ve enhanced my knowledge of Chinese language, I’ve acquired considerable public speaking and negotiation skills both for B2B and B2C sales, I’ve developed managerial capabilities to multitask and effectively plan a project.
