Valentina and I worked together on community projects meant to inspire educators, students, businesses, and other interested partners to pledge to make sustainability a priority. Valentina worked diligently to make community collaborations more robust and was the communicator and organizer for many of the activities. She is incredibly ambitious and enthusiastic about her work. It was inspiring for youth who had interest in STEM careers to hear about her background and she is viewed as a role model for area youth who are passionate about sustainability.

Valentina was the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Project Manager at Dow and my contact for our Preparing the Next Generation Workforce for Sustainable Action partnership with Dow from December 2019 to August 2021 for Beyond Benign. Valentina was the best partner, always organized and willing to learn how to best leverage each other's skills to achieve the goals at hand. Over the course of our partnership, Valentina became an amazing champion for Green Chemistry education within higher education and greatly impacted our partnership results by leveraging her team at Dow to create change through the voice of the industry.
