Valentin joined our team in the heat of an imminent go live initially as a mere developer and, proving himself on the ground, soon was promoted to architect on the field, being able to bring us to deliver in the expected deadlines more than once. Skills Used: Server side Architecture in Node.JS with MongoDB cluster. Client Side in C# and C++ as well as HTML5 + Javascript. Deployment process design for AWS. Distributed Load and concurrency testing. TDD. BDD. Agile planning. The initial project was a software distribution platform which later on turned into a much bigger thing made to support the game Nosgoth that recently went live in Beta. I've designed the server architecture and the new deployment scripts for AWS, worked in server side in node.js and client side in C# and a few bits in C++ (initial client side was in C++) as well as integration of HTML 5 and Javascript based UI. Windows and Linux development in Visual Studio and various linux development tools (Eclipse CDT, Webstorm etc). AWS deployments done with Cloud Formation. Also designed a whole load and concurrency test system using the AWS for instance support. Used Secure Websockets for communication. Designed the whole communication for the system, with friends and chat support and extensibility for other ways of communication. Show less

My first ever contract which re-extended quite a few times (3 months rolling) The role was for all things related to software and server architecture as well as development in all the languages that were at the time available: C/C++, (we tried PHP but didn't just work out so used only for some of the UI delivery) HTML for a few of the most renowned and visited adult industry websites and services. Streaming at the time there was no Flash video. Encountered and solved challenges on the bleeding edge of technology. Was the job that forged my career into working with any technology that suits best for the problem. Was there when AJAX appeared and was among the first to use it with our chat and video streaming.
