Design of an aircraft altitude estimation system. This project involved extending the open source firmware of a PX4FLOW module (optical flow sensor), to interface it with a GPS, sonar and laser distance sensor. The computing power of the board's on-board processor enables data fusion for altitude estimation. The final module also enhances the accuracy returned for medium altitudes.
