As the Head of Risk, I work alongside the fund chairman in modeling sector and geographical allocation of equities to limit exposure in specific markets. I also constantly monitor the portfolio beta and research large price swings on equities the fund is currently holding. Alongside the Deputy Head of Risk, we have managed to build a collaborative and interactive spreadsheet to model, monitor, and analyse portfolio risk. Alongside this, we produce weekly Risk Reports and release reviews on investment outlooks.

I am an analyst on Europe's largest student-run investment fund with an AUM of £200K and part of the Long Term Fund (LTF) team that manages a portfolio of £160k of real capital which is invested into different asset classes within different sectors.Specifically, I focus on the technology and consumer sector. My role requires me to keep track of technology and consumer stocks the fund is currently holding and provide recommendations to the fund chairman if the market condition changes. Analysing and pitching new promising technology and consumer stocks is also part of my responsibility.

I interned at Trimegah Securities where my role is being an intern at the sell-side equity research division. My daily tasks involved curating daily news for a newsletter to be sent to institutional and retail clients, helping analysts perform top-down market research and bottom-up fundamental analysis, updating 3-statement models and DCF models for the stock price valuation. Consulting - Summer Intern

I was placed under the Business Operations Portfolio specifically under the Banking and Insurance Operations Transformation team where I advised a Fortune 500 client. This experience required me to develop my Excel and Powerpoint skills extensively. My daily task involved analysing key risks present in the client's day to day operations and try to come up with improvements to ensure the customer banking journey is above standards. I also helped created various client deliverables that I built from scratch to help my team reach its targets. Finally, this experience allowed me to network with senior professionals in Deloitte, and allowed me to understand the consulting business. I was offered to return for the 2023 Graduate Analyst role.
