Research Engineer in climate modelling
-
Feb 1997 - Present
I hold a "highly qualified" research engineer position at CERFACS. I am currently leading a team of about 4 engineers for the developments of the OASIS coupler. I am CERFACS Principal Investigator for the current IS-ENES project and was CERFACS PI in the METAFOR (Common Metadata for Climate Modelling Digital Repositories) project, funded by the European Commission 7th framework program. These projects favor my interaction with many climate-modelling groups in Europe and with other groups developing coupling framework internationally, such as the USA-led ESMF project, the USA NCAR Community Earth System Model 1 (CESM1), and Earth System Grid (ESG). Besides coupler development, I am now interested in working on the technical assembling and scientific validation of a relatively high-resolution version of CNRM-CERFACS coupled model (ARPEGE T359 - NEMO ORCA025).
