Leading the volunteer team that provides emotional and physical support to the homeless and marginalised of Worcester. The service receives minimal statutory funding and therefore relies on a fantastic band of volunteers who deliver breakfast and lunch 5 days a week to the service users. We also run a clothing project that is only possible with the support of volunteers. Professional volunteer services include medical, dental and podiatry in addition to personal well being such as massages and hairdressing.

I was originally appointed as Volunteer Coordinator in February 2016, responsible for the preparation of their Investing in Volunteers application which was achieved in June - the first organisation in Worcestershire to earn the gold standard award - and training and supporting the 100 volunteers. I have now side stepped to Business Engagement officer, a new project which will be supporting working unpaid carers and their employers. I have gained experience in web design and producing the quarterly magazine that is distribute to 11,000 readers throughout the county since my appointment.
