Val is a passionate and methodical product designer with an ability to learn things quickly. During her internship at Circles.Life, Val (as product designer) and I (as Product Manager) collaborated on 2 business critical projects involving new technologies - (i) eSIM rollout in Australia and (ii) 5G rollout in Singapore. Val was responsible for the design of web and app user journeys to drive the adoption of 5G and eSIM. Even though Val joined us only mid way on 5G, she weaved her fresh perspective into the design that was rooted in customer empathy. Despite her limited experience, Val adopted a mature approach to product design. She designed her prototypes iteratively by working closely with the user researcher to gather feedback from friendly customers while also engaging the user interface developers to understand the constraints to operate within. On several occasions, she went above and beyond what was expected of her, and displayed hunger to contribute to the success of the projects. She cares deeply about the purpose of her work and is bold to ask the right questions. It was truly great to have a designer like Val in the team and I'll certainly vouch for her.

Val is an inquisitive and teachable individual, who is clear on what she wants to grow in and will go above and beyond to achieve those goals. As a designer, she has grown tremendously in her visual design skills and design thinking, supporting usability tests and design validation, among her design responsibilities. I believe Val will do great things wherever she goes!
