• Place orders to suppliers to meet production requirements. • Get order confirmations from suppliers (A total of 48 suppliers,42 of which are abroad and 6 of domestic, and 325 different raw material references are under control) • Follow the shipment during transportation and in customs until customs clearance is done and ensure that the correct materials have existed in stock in the required timeframe. • Transportation management. • Optimize raw material stock levels based on targets. • Manage a warehouse team of 9 staff (1 white collar + 8 blue collars) responsible for good reception. • Provide info flow and coordination between suppliers, purchase department, customer planner, and production planner in case of material requirement changes. • Measure supplier on-time delivery performances. • Prepare KPI reports (inventory, DOH, inventory turnover rate, on-time delivery, premium freight). • Manage material planning process in coordination with the project/sales team for newly commissioned and finalized projects and take necessary actions to prevent obsolete materials. Selected Accomplishments • Reduced transportation costs by changing shipping companies and types for Romania and Germany shipments (yearly 140 k euro cost saving). • Reduced packaging costs by increasing pallet unit load (yearly 128 k euro cost saving). • Optimized raw material stock level and eliminated external warehouse usage + transport costs between external warehouse and factory (yearly 60k euro cost saving). • Performed space optimization and reduced set-up durations by increasing coil weights used in the production line (yearly 5200 Man Hour saving). • Performed barcode & 2D barcode implementation on supplier labels, eliminated manual operations, and improved traceability (yearly 750 Man Hour saving). • Started implementation of ASN by suppliers, eliminated manual operations, improved traceability (yearly 750 Man Hour saving).
