  • Responsible for maintaining high levels of product quality (flax oil, meal and seed) during the production process through constant supervision of staff with a focus on; good manufacturing practices(GMPs), document verification and control, sanitation verification through ATP tests, production monitoring, chemical titration testing, finished product inspection and organoleptic testing. • Track and perform statistical analysis on several key performance indicators (KPIs), working with production management in order to optimize operational efficiency and support in implementation of HACCP/BRC program • Design and perform audits (broken glass & hard plastic, shipping, internal, and external inspections). • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and worksheets for use in all departments (quality assurance, production, and shipping). Maintain proper document control and ensure all documents are up to date, and following BRC standards. • Troubleshoot processes on the production floor, and work with production management on setting up and trialing new equipment and preparing training manual for their safe operation. • Generate all labels for products in accordance to customer and country of destination, and ensure all product meets quality standard for shipping. • Perform laboratory testing at various points of the process like - moisture, cleanliness, weight, sediment analysis, allergens test (using ELISA method), micros, product shelf life and any other testing as required • Documentation of all sample testing and results and approval where necessary • Responsible for the QA laboratory and its equipment • Validation of applicable micro and environmental programs • Continuous improvement of sampling/testing to ensure 100% food quality and food safety • Outside laboratory sourcing and sample submissions as required • Assist with Laboratory Safety Trainings • Assist with R&D projects Show less
