  Worked as an independent researcher at Maulana Azad College, University of Calcutta. The topic of my research was topological solutions to the accelerated expansion of the universe. I started by considering the accelerated expansion of the universe as a consequence of its global topology and thus, it could point at the souce of dark energy in our universe. In this study, I considered the energy of the universe as a marker of its dynamical evolution instead of the traditionally used scale factor and under these considerations, I studied the toroidal model of the universe, first predicted by Starobinsky and Zel' Dovich in 1984, and also the ΛCDM model and found that there were similar trends and a very similar evolutionary pattern for all future times after scale factor of 1.0 Show less
