My role here as a Data Analyst varied and gave me a rich experience of seeing how different companies operate and process data. My job entailed analysing our clients’ Accounts Payables data; checking for duplicate or over-payments. I used a software program named IDEA which allowed me to import huge amounts of data and manipulate that data to achieve the results I needed to pass onto the Reviewing team. There were various tools within IDEA that allowed me to do this but attention to detail was imperative and the ability to quickly grasp the understanding of how the various Accounts Payables systems worked and how the supplied data related to each other gave me a unique insight into our clients’ Accounts Payables. I further enhanced my skills within Excel by using VLOOKUP and IF statements, as well as Pivot Tables and various other formulae to achieve the results I needed.
