Bio
Rukmini Iyer
I have worked with Urmi as a colleague on several projects at Seeds of Peace where I was a consultant facilitator. She is an exceptional organiser and manager, very professional in her approach, strategies and execution. Besides, her academic and intellectual rigour in terms of interfaith work is a treasure, in the context of peacebuilding work. She brings together her eclectic background in media, communications, culture, art and unbridled curiosity and learning appetite to fuel her current work. She is a fabulous team player, supportive and communicative. As a speaker and presenter, she is thorough both in terms of content as well as delivery. She's certainly a thought leader to watch out for in the interfaith context!
Mansi Panjwani
I have worked closely with Urmi during the Samvaad Program that encouraged interfaith dialogue facilitation among university professors in West India, when Seeds of Peace received a grant by the US Consulate in Mumbai. As a Programme Coordinator, Urmi's dedication to the success of the project has been commendable. Over the past 2 years, in my interaction with Urmi, I have valued her ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects joyfully, her high expectations of herself and the team, her resourcefulness, her knowledge about world religions, and her dedication towards quality. She is an initiator, a collaborator, and a multi-talented individual. I see Urmi as an asset on any team.
