  The Stansted Employment & Skills Academy opened in March 2008 and is managed by Urban Futures, a regeneration agency based in north London.The Academy aims to continue the best practices derived from the London Stansted Employment Partnership (LSEP) with the added value of being based next-door to the terminal building.The original LSEP sought to promote real opportunities for development, training and career progression at the airport within the north and east of London. This constitutes the London Boroughs of Haringey, Enfield, Waltham Forest, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Havering and Redbridge.The Academy aims to continue this work but also to provide a service to any individual looking for employment at the airport, regardless of where they live, and a tailored service to meet the needs of airport employers.Urban Futures work closely with the other key stakeholders to ensure there is a joined-up approach to identifying individuals and matching them to training and employment opportunities at Stansted.
