I worked with Mark at American Safety Insurance Company where I was the Chief Underwriting Officer. At the time the environmental department of ASI was going through a restructure focused on improving profitability, operational efficiencies and quality service. Though I didn’t manage Mark directly I consciously sought his input and involved him in meetings where I was seeking input for underwriting, broker management and operational changes. Mark provided honest and insightful ideas as to what was not working, but more importantly came with recommendations to improve the process. He is adaptive and works well in a fast paced environment. He is service oriented and develops excellent relationships with the brokerage community. I believe Mark would be an asset to any company seeking to profitably grow their business

I’ve known Mark since 2006 when he joined American Safety at a challenging time and he had to contend with a complex and fast changing environment. With superb management skills and an upbeat can do attitude he pursued and developed new opportunities. Mark is very resilient and maintains a positive high energy level. He's extremely well regarded by brokers and colleagues alike. He is an ambitious, creative, and motivated insurance professional with vast industry knowledge.

I have known Mark Thomas for several years and had the privilege working with him on many occasions. He has always been professional and at the same time accessible. Mark will go the extra distance for the people he works for. Bill Lohman
