Worked for 2 years in DHA Club (Pvt.) Ltd which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Defense Housing Authority Islamabad. Based on the performance i was promoted to this position to direct accounting functions for a growing hospitality business. DHA Club comprised of two entities Jacaranda Family Club and Jungle restaurant where i was supervising a team of 20 persons including two Asst. Managers to oversee financial analysis, financial audits, G/L, A/R, A/P and fixed-asset accounting in accordance with IFRS. Other responsibilities were to develop and manage external financial relationships (e.g., banks, auditors etc) and constantly look for ways to strengthen overall financial performance. Key results: Built a finely tuned accounting department, fostering a collaborative environment that improved productivity, individual accountability and team morale. Revamped G/L, financial systems, reports and schedules to improve forecast precision and standardize reporting procedures.
