Summer Camp Counselor
-
Jun 2017 - Aug 2018
I worked in this capacity as a junior leader and an assistant leader the following summer. Both times I was in charge of taking care of the cabin and making sure that the campers made it to their various activities during the day. Junior Leaders build working relationships with their peers as well as Leaders and Program Staff. As an assistant leader, I become more confident in both my role within the cabin and Camp Dudley as a whole. I was able to better understand my leadership style while applying it in a way that the campers would respond to. This made me more comfortable giving and receiving more individualized feedback.
