The Billie Jean Cup is the largest international team competition in women’s tennis. Over 100 countries compete in the Billie Jean Cup every year.As a line umpire, I completed special training explaining specific verbal calls as well as unique gestures indicating whether the ball was in or out of the court or foot faults. During the tournament, I was in charge of calling shots related to the line I was assigned to. The Billie Jean Cup is the largest international team competition in women’s tennis.
