Engineering: Diagnosed and fixed faults arising in the network in as less time as possible on a daily basis. Analyzed key network performance indicators and counseled design teams on network expansion and on redesign of DC power supply systems. Determined root causes of network outages, suggested and implemented ways to prevent repetition of past outages, and maintained detailed records of key network performance indicators. Conducted acceptance-testing of new nodes in the network ensuring compliance with all agreed technical standards and standard operating procedures. Project Management: Supervised and successfully completed a major equipment swap of over 150 base station sites and associated base station controllers. The project was a big move to replace outdated equipment and move central office location which involved: (a) Ensuring completion of work within the stipulated down-time. (b) Co-ordinating with another service provider, who was leasing us bandwidth, to re-route all existing transmission routes to the new office location. (c) Orchestrating activities of all involved departments and vendors to ensure they all operate as one unit. Re-launched, supervised, and successfully completed a preventive maintenance project of over 300 base-station sites that cycled every four months and helped reduce unplanned outages by almost 50%. Advised potential customers on making their design requirements more efficient and cost-effective and then redesigned originally proposed networks accordingly. Customer Relations: Established and maintained cordial professional relationships with employees of customer companies.
