Ubah is a community leader of the highest caliber. She has a long track records of organizing communities, fundraising experience with strong background in crowdfunding. Ubah is known for her passion and compassion for the weakest and most vulnerable. Her leadership capacity, her situational awareness and her adaptability make her an excellent addition to any team. I am grateful for Ubah’s leadership in helping us raise and deliver more than $50 thousand dollars to flash flood victims in central Somalia in late 2019.

In 2017, I ran as a candidate for Tukwila school board. Although I did not win the seat, the campaign changed the way the community thinks about civic engagement. I personally registered over 1,500 new voters, and I am proud of the way conversations around dinner tables in my community changed. It was a social-change movement, and we empowered community members to be engaged civically. Through my candidacy, the community now understands that involvement in one’s city, school, and state is very impactful and important. Show less
