I have worked with Tyrone since August 2010, although he was teaching at another Westwood College location even before that. I have been his supervisor since 2014. I can't say enough good things about him. He is a knowledgeable, easygoing, and helpful member of Westwood's faculty and staff. He has taught every IT class in our curriculum, and been an excellent example to the IT students by continuing to study for and earn more certifications. It looks like there are a couple of alphabets linked together behind his name with all of the certs he has earned. Tyrone has consistently gone above and beyond for students. He has held workshops, been a leader in the IT club, and encouraged students to study for their certifications outside of class time. He always has something positive to say, is kind and professional, and remains flexible in all circumstances. I highly recommend him as an asset to any team he is a part of.

• Lead and supervise over five IT Adjunct Professors on classroom readiness, ethics and literacy in Blackboard, lesson competency and procedures for administering tests, evaluations and video overviews. • Responsible for training each assigned instructional specialist on course objectives, courseware usage and procedures for measuring student outcomes. • Initiates and assists the campus dean in recruiting, interviewing, and helps orient faculty for assigned area; makes part-time hiring recommendations to the campus dean; coordinates observation of part-time instructors; conducts evaluation, if assigned, of part-time faculty/staff; provides information to the dean to aid in the evaluation process.• Manage students on Cisco CCNA, CCNA Security, Microsoft Server 2012 and Network Security projects demonstrating real life configurations, troubling shooting, and prevention recovery. In addition, I strategically assessed and recommended surveillance technology for critical areas. • Teach all IT assigned classes and plan instructional activities, to include, but not limited to lectures, discussions, labs demonstrations, and projects assignments, and student’s assessments. Supervised the student body and prepared them for multiple IT certifications.

I also was responsible for managing the day-to-day operational aspects of several projects and scope to review the deliverables prepared by the team before passing it on to clients.

Assessed and performed all relevant security patches for the server operating systems and workstations. Worked on the migration team to upgrade Exchange 2000 server to Exchange 2003 server by running the Exchange setup application and selecting upgrade on the Component Selection dialog box and also installed MS SQL server 2003. The deployment and maintain was done through Altiris 6.0 migration. In addition, I installed and configured Windows 2000 and 2003 servers, and virtual private network (VPN). Finally, I provided Help Desk Support, using Altiris 6.0 for trouble ticket logging and tracking problems. All support and maintenance were for server 2003, SQL and Exchange.
