In this environment of COVID-19, my mission is to inform employers/business owners that there is a path to protecting their business and their greatest asset; their employees through Colonial Life timely adjustments to four core benefits: Short-term Disability, Hospital Indemnity, Life Insurance, and Critical Illness. Our Short-term Disability now covers any employee diagnosed with COVID-19. (Replaces workman's comp for employees that work from home) Hospital Indemnity- Admission and confinement benefits provided all provisions of policy met. Critical Illness- COVID-19 not considered a covered condition under our CI products, however, diagnosises resulting from COVID-19, such as organ failure, stroke, or heart attack, would qualify. Life Insurance- COVID-19 is not an excluded illness for our life insurance products. Benefits are paid according to policy provisions. Employees are too costly to replace.
