Cyber Systems Chief for the United States Marine Corps

• Lead team of eight to provide satellite, radio, and IT systems while remote of any support in Thailand.• Trained team members whose responsibilities changed from telephony-switching to network switching & routing.• Developed curriculum to help train Marines whose job description was changed into a Network Engineer. Training included IPv4, Subnetting, and Cisco Switching and Routing Fundamentals.• Upgraded 43 Marine Corps servers in virtualized environments across three Navy vessels from Server 2008 to Server 2012 R2 maintaining all user accounts and profiles. • Upgraded eight Exchange Servers from 2003 to 2010 with zero information and accounts lost. • Implemented and installed Voice-over-IP Secure through Cisco Unified Call Manager. • Planned Data Communications that were deployed to Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, and Australia. • Planned and constructed an On-the-Go server/network suite meant to be taken aboard Navy vessels and support up to 70 high-priority users. This suite included Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Exchange 2010, Cisco Unified Call Manager, a Windows Server Update Service, Video-Teleconference systems, and Cisco Networking devices. Supervised 11 Marines while successfully deployed the suite.

• Served as the section leader, with 53 personnel under me on average, where I was responsible for health, well-being, and productivity of all personnel across four major jobs to include Electronic Maintenance and Radio Transmissions.• Developed Data Systems plans for seven major Exercises for five different units and an Emergency Communications Plan to combat a wildfire my unit was sent to fight. • In charge of twelve Marines, serving over 800 customers, managing and maintaining over $50 million worth of computers, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals. Assigned to be SharePoint Administrator.• Designed and supervised the network upgrades of two buildings and the construction of a state-of-the-art Video Teleconference room.

-Served as Help Desk Supervisor in Afghanistan, serving over 1,000 U.S. and British Military Professionals, whose responsibilities included Air Traffic Control, Aerial Operations and Planning, Flight Control, and Base Defenses, managing over 800 laptops and associated network.-Served as Training Supervisor, ensuring that 48 Marines remained highly qualified for deployment by scheduling physical standard tests, morning physical training, and continuing communications skills to include Cisco and Comptia classes.-Served as one of four IT military professionals in Iraq, performing helpdesk operations including creating and deleting user accounts, Cisco network trouble shooting, managing IP's, Cisco VoIP, working with Exchange 2003 and trouble shooting Windows XP, supproting over 2000 users.
