We were required to assist our campers in going to the bathroom, with personal hygiene, etc. Camp monitors are expected to accompany their assigned camper(s) to the pool, as part of their daily activities. We would have to know the records of the assigned campers and be aware of their profiles and needs, communicate with parents about the assigned camper's day, complete communication booklets, welcome campers arriving by adapted transport and accompany them indoors, animate activities tailored to the camper, put in place measures to prevent campers meltdowns and or tantrums and to manage these situations, assist the camper that may be in crisis until they are calm, always ensure the safety of the campers in every situation, collaborate with colleagues and other departments and participate in daily morning team meetings.
