I had the pleasure of working closely with Tyler during a demanding project at Knack. Tyler was new to the organization, and the project was entirely new too. Tyler quickly rose to the occasion of not only getting ramped up to the complex code base at Knack, but also to leading the project process for our team. He took the time to explain the complexity of the infrastructure work he was doing, so that our wider team could understand the changes being made. This allowed the project to be communicated easily to the customer on what they should expect with the changes we were making. In addition to going above and beyond there, he was quick to respond to emergencies that arose out of this work to keep the project afloat and our support team in the loop. From my time working with Tyler on this project at Knack I can easily see he'd be an asset to have on any team - able to switch between doing complex infrastructure work to explaining it to the layperson, all with a professional attitude and empathy. I'd would be happy to have the opportunity to work with Tyler again in the future!

At Knack, my focus was focused on introducing DevOps principles to our team and our legacy infrastructure. In this role, I've introduced Infrastructure as Code to the team in the form of Terraform, defining VPC, IAM, ECS Cluster, and ECS Service configurations to support automation. The development of lambda-based Slack utilities to assist our support team, step-function implementations to track deployment, Consul for service discovery and metric aggregation, among a host of other… Show more At Knack, my focus was focused on introducing DevOps principles to our team and our legacy infrastructure. At Comcast, I was a member of the SED team which was responsible for building shared infrastructure and establishing solid repeatable patterns for the Digital Home organization at Comcast. In this role I worked on building a Platform as a Service (PaaS) framework, wrote software to support federated authentication to Microsoft's IDP (ADFS) to support devs and CICD builds, developed an envoy-based control plane in Go to support migration services, and helped architect Go-based lambda functions… Show more At Comcast, I was a member of the SED team which was responsible for building shared infrastructure and establishing solid repeatable patterns for the Digital Home organization at Comcast. I began my CHOP career as a Programmer Analyst, working with various research initiatives tied to the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics (DBHI). Most of my work was centered around the Biorepository Toolkit which integrated key system components in a user-friendly interface to protect subject privacy, asynchronously collect data and deeply annotate growing institutional specimen, data and genomic repositories by integrating familiar tools. This work was ultimately open-sourced, and… Show more I began my CHOP career as a Programmer Analyst, working with various research initiatives tied to the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics (DBHI). My time at Bloomberg started as an analyst in the Syndicated Loans department of Global Data at Bloomberg. My role progressed into a "TechOps" role where my responsibilities were largely centered around streamlining workflows through automation. As a part of the TechOps team I introduced python data analysis and API services to the department and built out metrics frameworks that helped streamline processes and reporting.
