  Working as a packhouse manager at Eden Orchards, my role was to ensure the fulfilment of freight orders to a leading supermarket chain as well as local stores around New Zealand. Overseeing my team of 20 packers, I ensured the quality of the cherries coming through was up to standard as well as trying to maximise the efficiency of output. This job helped me to develop the skill of time efficiency as time truly is money in the horticulture industry and every part of daily operations needs to be done in an efficient manner. One last skill that was further developed was my leadership ability. Leading a team that with over 5 different cultures in it was difficult but it was through this experience that I learnt my leadership style and how to use it to motivate my team.
