  Employed as a Researcher for the Welsh Conservative Group in the Welsh Parliament. Within this role, I have held a number of responsibilities including: • Assisting with the co-ordination of the Group’s Parliamentary business, including: drafting and tabling motions to be debated within Plenary; researching Group debates and submitting debate briefings to Members; drafting and submitting written and oral questions. • Providing informative briefings to Members on a plethora of policy issues, local and national issues and contemporary developments in a timely manner. Furthermore, I conduct research on national issues and developments within comparative regional legislatures. • Drafting the Group position on policy and external campaign issues. • Developing policy proposals and scrutinising policy and legislation created at a Welsh, devolved, and UK level. • Establishing effective relationships and working collaboratively with external stakeholders and different service areas within the Parliament and representing the Group at stakeholder events.

  Elected as a Councillor for Brackla Community Council in January 2019. Elected Deputy Chair of the Council in May 2020.Within this role, I have: • Scrutinised Council decisions, and proposed resolutions to the Council aimed at delivering the best outcome for both the Council and residents. Furthermore, I have taken part in Committee scrutiny sessions and proposed resolutions to be submitted to the whole Council by working with Members from across different political parties. • Worked with colleagues to address concerns raised by constituents in a timely, diligent manner. • Worked constructively with external stakeholders, including representatives of the County Council, to generate solutions to local issues. • Represented the Council and the Party at local events • Helped to develop local campaigns and deliver campaign events, such as canvassing.

  Employed as an Assembly Member Support Staff, Researcher/Caseworker. A variety of roles held, including: • Co-ordinating Assembly business by researching, drafting and tabling written and oral questions on behalf of the Member and updating the Member on Ministerial responses to such questions. I also drafted speeches for Plenary business and external events. • Conducting research on a plethora of policy issues (devolved and national) and Welsh Assembly Government legislation in order to provide briefings to the Member, particularly in respect to her Shadow Cabinet role and Committee responsibilities. • Acting as a Caseworker, responding to constituent issues in a timely, considerate manner by working with relevant stakeholders including Welsh Government Ministers to find solutions to the issues raised. In this role, I was required to adhere to relevant data protection guidelines, including GDPR, at all times. • Undertook a variety of office administration roles including: drafting correspondence; dealing with telephone enquiries; organising the Member’s diary; liaising with constituency staff and Assembly colleagues to help organise events; preparing the Member’s Assembly papers; assisting with press releases.
