Tyler is incredibly dedicated and resourceful. During our time collaborating on projects, Tyler takes time to explain his process and recommendations for each stage of the project. He is always well prepared and knowledgeable, looked to for his opinion on several components of a project scope reaching into marketing, business development/planning and sales. His talent and attention to detail is an elevated level of service that is greatly appreciated by all. Anyone who is lucky to have him as part of their team experiences the unique "extra mile" he extends regularly.

-Drafted technical application documents, including Product Roadmaps, Feature Overviews, and PRDs.-Developed a data driven framework for analyzing product market fit and relevant KPIs.-Conducted extensive market research to assess product demand, and expanding markets. - Utilizing Scrum ceremonies and Agile best practices to effectively lead cross functional engineering teams. -Created project budgets, break-even estimations and capital recovery analysis. -Frequently communicated with stakeholders, including proposal and project update presentations. With an intimate understanding of the design process and a focus on vertical feature delivery my team and I were able to develop and market an innovative wireless light switch/thermostat HVAC system. I was named as an inventor on the patent pending for this design. Show less

-Employed rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing, and CNC to quickly validate form/functionality.-Performed QA testing, including mobile UX/UI testing, wireless range testing, and sensor performance testing. -Optimized design for DFM and compliance.-Boosted production volume and reduced assembly time by streamlining damper design.-Increased revenue by designing and introducing several user-friendly, affordable products.During my tenure I was able to design, manufacture and market three successful products. The first was a complex clock spring driven, adjustable bypass damper. The second was a cost effective ventilation damper. The third was a complex IoT Zoning System comprised of several components from an integrated thermostat, damper sensor, HVAC control unit and WiFi Gateway. I designed all enclosures, packaging, and mechanical components using SolidWorks. I also designed all wireframes and HiFi prototypes for both the mobile application and capacitive touch tft interface of the thermostat using Figma. I used illustrator and Canva to design the instruction manuals, and I even designed the logo for the new product line called "BLISS". Designing an IoT product can be a challenging objective. This experience has allowed me to further develop my skills in rapid prototyping, sourcing contract manufactures, user testing, QA, all the way through product marketing and supply chain management. This was a great hands on learning experience, where I was exposed to many facets of the product lifecycle, from factory operations to supply chain management. I drafted assembly procedures, SolidWorks models, and used a CNC machine. In addition to engineering efforts, I conducted market research and voice of customer interviews.

For my mechatronics class I was paired with a partner and tasked to design a robot that could navigate an obstacle course, eject different colored marbles from a dispenser, sort them by color and then deliver them to the appropriate bin. This course was a great learning experience that not only sharpened my technical skills, but taught me a valuable lessons such as team collaboration, critical problem solving, and schedule management. Developed strong design fundamentals and drafting skills in programs such as AutoCad, SolidWorks, and Rhino. I completed a personal design project using AutoCad to created a variation of the Acura car symbol. I then used a 3D slicing software to convert my design into a g-code format and 3D print it.
