Stay at home parent for the last 3.5 years to now 9 & 11 year-old children. Because of their age and ability to take care of their own needs more than before, I am seeking employment again outside of this crucial family role. This role coincided with a personal spine injury that I sustained in March, 2020, in addition to being welcomed into an existing family unit consisting of my new partner and her two children (then aged 6 & 8), and was a perfect opportunity to bond with the family and take care of the residential/domestic workload while my partner advanced her own career, logging long hours at a critical time in her path. Since graduating from Interior Design in 2003, I specialized in lighting and gravitated towards the Arts. Over the the years I travelled the world, explored many offshoots of the Interior Design profession and when I was about to make this change 10 years ago, I was disabled in a motor vehicle accident. Projects ranged in value from simple (replacement bathroom faucet under $500) to new-build or full renovation with projects into the $50k range (plumbing) and up to $60k (lighting), for a single family dwelling.
