  As a hotel audio visual technician, I am responsible for overseeing the set-up of AV equipment for hotel events. I ensure AV equipment is operational, labeled, repaired and cleaned when necessary. As an audio-visual technician, I hang, rig, inspect, and repair equipment in accordance with the property and company rigging standards. I set-up, operate, and troubleshoot AV/projection equipment/devices. I check delivered equipment and room set-up against hotel and/or company’s order per customers’ requests. I assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment, up-sell AV services, and provide price quotes. I am also responsible for the break-down, removal, and securing equipment when not in use. While I have a “home” hotel, I travel to a dozen other event locations to perform the same duties that I have listed for my home hotel.
