Tye always provided excellent customer service to students and the general public at the Ball State University Libraries. He was an energetic and creative colleague, often participating in special projects, including exhibition design, digitization, and oral history transcription. Tye was an exceptional assistant and I would highly recommend him for any job experience.

Michael Wm. Doyle

Mr. Winker was the sole graduate student in an immersive-learning course I led in 2011 that recorded long-form oral histories with 20 active-duty soldiers who were attached to the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division. He cheerfully assumed duties that approached that of a graduate assistant, including preparing short bios of the interviewees and their student interviewers for the project's website. He was thorough, dependable, a devoted researcher, and a quick learner of oral history methodology.

In this role I was responsible for 80% of the company's procurement, as well as, the facility, vehicles, and equipment that is owned. This fleet includes trucks, material handling equipment, booms, scissor lifts, and all of the manufacturing equipment. Through using contacts and developing relationships with vendors I am able to secure not only reasonable pricing, but great service. I also managed up to 80 employees to oversee production in lean manufacturing setting. Through a combination of coordinating with vendors, designing crates, and communicating with site personnel I am able to build and ship a cost effective, safe, and logistically effective packaging system. This has helped the company to save on man hours, materials, and shipping.

While managing two assembly lines I was able to bring production up to 30+ panels a day. At the same time I made sure that quantity matched quality. Notable projects include Riverpoint Tower in Chicago and Rosslyn Central Place in Arlington, VA.

This job involved 100% travel. The company covered a 17 state radius. As a technician I traveled an average of 2,000 miles a week and worked 12-14 hours daily. I was able to double my production from one hour per door to half an hour. This allowed the company to maximize profit and save on housing accommodations. This job involved 100% travel.
