Ty is probably one of the most compassionate, dedicated and approachable people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His skills as a Customer Service Leader and Manager, were second to none. His service delivery was always first class no matter where he worked on the aircraft. No one defined the mission statement, 'To Fly To Serve' more than him. He showed empathy and compassion not only to the customers on board, but to his fellow crew both on and off the aircraft. On a personal note, after completing training for our First Class product, I was rather nervous at my first time working as Galley Operator. Ty not only helped to calm my nerves, but provided me with a handy crib sheet of hints and tips and kept a watchful eye without taking over or interfering. His feedback was always constructive, full of examples and his years of experience really helped me gain the confidence I needed. Working with Ty was a joy, no matter how demanding a flight and there was always a packet of Haribos in the galley if things got stressful!! Finally, Henry Ford once said, 'Coming together is a beginning; Keeping together is progress; Working together is success' I belive Ty instills those qualities in the people he works with and his many compliments and accolades prove it.

There are very few service professionals in life, who show such empathy towards both the customer and their role. Apart from being the total professional within his position as customer service lead at British Airways, Ty was also part of the VIP crew team, managing flights for dignitaries, politicians and the entertainments industry. Ty was is in a position of leadership on every flight, managing teams in first class, business class world traveller plus/ world traveller. This alone, demonstrates his ability to adapt on a daily basis, and meet the various customer requests according to their brand. Ty was a very popular manager who valued his team, whilst still having the ability to give critical honest feedback when required. I fully recommend Ty, to any employer looking for a service professional, who constantly goes above and beyond.
