The Social Responsibility Project Dept of the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) was founded in 2014 with the vision of creating additional potential beyond the primary target groups of the governing body of Turkish Basketball as enshrined in the charter of the Turkish Basketball Federation and operates within a wide range from creating opportunities for disadvantaged children to the empowerment of women, from national and international social inclusion projects to civil society dialogue, healthy living, crime prevention, peace, and many other areas, all of which are designed with 'Basketball' as a main axis. The Project Manager provides strategic guidance and direction to various projects in specify and also to the department in general, and supports the overall management of the office and is responsible for substantially contributing to the design, implementation, management and oversight of projects and to the operations supporting their implementation to ensure effective and efficient delivery of results as planned. The incumbent brings accumulated experience from participation in previous comparable projects, innovative thinking which fits and adapts to the changing environment to the strategic development of the programme portfolio and to raise resources to fund it. The project manager also plays a key role in ensuring effective use and management of TBF resources (material, financial and human) in compliance with program definitions, operational policies and regulations.
