Coupling Pulsed Laser Desorption and Ionization-Loss Stimulated Raman Spectroscopy Developed a setup for measuring vibrational spectrum of non-volatile molecule in an isolated environment, in hope of unveiling the conformer/tautomer structure of DNA bases. The setup included: laser desorption, cold molecular beam, high vacuum, pulsed dye lasers, TOFMS, an actuation mechanism inside the vacuum used to spatially scan the sample.
