Metrod is a leading manufacturer of Copper rod, wire & conductors based in Malaysia, supplying to various industries across South East Asia, India, rest of Asia & Pacific. My role is to steer initiatives to achieve organisational goals & vision with chief responsibilities in Strategic Planning, Sales, Business Development, Key Account Management. I support the global operation by identifying new products, markets and business opportunities in line with its goal of business proliferation and related diversification. I lead a dynamic sales team and look after sales & marketing of Copper products in South East Asia & Asia Pacific with annual sales revenue exceeding US Dollar 500 million. I functionally & administratively report to CEO & President. Significant Highlights: Under my stewardship, Metrod attained leadership in Copper wire rod market supplying to all major Cable & Magnet wire manufacturers in South East Asia and Australia. Despite challenging economic environment and steep competition from several global players, Metrod, achieved hundred per cent growth during 2013-2018. I took up the challenge to rapidly expand its geographic market reach and focus on value added product-applications to sustain & improve its revenue and profitability. I successfully started Copper conductor business for Power Transformer industry and achieved over a short period of time absolute market leadership in the region displacing established suppliers and over last ten years maintained an enviable record of more than 80% market share. Under my leadership, Metrod started its Indian operation, through a wholly owned subsidiary, Savli Copper Products Private Limited, which has posted more than INR 600 crores turnover in 3 years time. I did extensive study on the demand of specialty Copper conductors for Green Energy segment. Those studies formed the backbone of Metrod's strategic direction for future investment & acquisitions.

Until today this is the most accepted and established technology for such application which improves productivity and reduces cost of production at continuous casting plants.
