During our time together on the product team of ipaymy, I greatly admired Tue's combination of technical skill, strategic thinking, and resourceful independence. Tue undertook the immense task of understanding our back end—from the infrastructure and logs to the database and APIs—then condensed this understanding into a powerful, flexible reporting and analytics app named LogStorm. The engineers, product managers, and designers at ipaymy would use LogStorm to research bugs, determine historical feature usage down to the API endpoint, and monitor the performance of our entire platform in real time. As Tue developed LogStorm, he accepted guidance gracefully from the senior engineers. He also held planning sessions with me as the product manager to consider the strategy of LogStorm, for example the ability to aggregate feature usage by user and by cohorts of users. Tue also expertly defined stories of incremental work on Shortcut and managed his own workflow there smoothly. The end result was an incredible contribution to our team with effective collaboration along the way!
