Advanced Individual Training (AIT) - At AIT, soldiers learn skills specific to their job or MOS (Military Occupational Specailty). My AIT was at the U.S. Army Signal School at Fort Gordon, GA. Where I learned the skills to become an IT Specialist. Students at signal school go through a rigorous 21 week program designed to teach them about computers, and computer networking. I learned about computer hardware, Active Directory, network concepts and architecture, as well as cisco device configuration. Show less

Army Basic Combat Training (BCT) - This is the first thing every soldier does when they join the army. It is a rigorous 10-week program built to turn civilians into soldiers. At BCT, I learned valuable leadership skills as well as how to effectively work under immense pressure.
