Matthew Crist
I worked with Thomas on a couple of projects involving at the University of Oklahoma. The first was a project that was written in Java with a prototype tablet by Texas Instruments that used the Android (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System. We were to implement a gesture recognition system based on hand movements in front of a camera. These gestures were bound to events which were assigned to special controls on an application, of which we designed a music player to provide feedback to the end user. Thomas' responsibility was that of getting the gesture package to function in the application and tie those events to the music player I created. We were the only team to get this software to work properly of which I give full credit to Thomas. The second was a project involving implementation of ACL2. We were to take a dump of stock data, parse the information and provide trend graphs based on the stock tickers selected for analysis and the range of dates for the data sample. Thomas' portion was that of debugging and writing an output module that wrote HTML pages, coupled with JSON/Javascript to display the graphical information to the end user. This was done with a Javascript package from Google. Project was designed as a team building exercise of which I considered to be of great success.
