I have gained valuable experience as a part-time intern for ETD, a remote-based organization focused on providing development and application of data-driven investment analysis/research in the Ethiopian marketplace. As part of the team, I participated in module-based training. As an intern at ETD, I've improved my understanding of financial operations, my Excel skills, attention to detail, punctuality, organizational skills, and most importantly, my communication skills. My duties included researching the Ethiopian marketplace and developing business strategies based on financial /math modules. Furthermore, I learned about financial health, accounting principles, ratios, and equations. Show less

Jul 2020 - Oct 2020
I was an intern at GATEPRO Steel PLC, a home-grown factory that assembles towers and performs hot-dip galvanizing. During my 4 months at the company, I had the opportunity to practice at their CNC and assembly workshops. I also helped to fabricate a galvanized tower for Ethio-Telecom. In addition to this, I identified an issue with the lack of safe maneuvering systems to move assembly workers to elevated heights, which led me to create a fully functional and easy-to-implement design solution. My knowledge in engineering was put into practice, providing me with invaluable experience in problem identification and practical solutions. Show less

When KOICA received the e-learning material development project for Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU), it needed adequate workforce to accomplish the project on the due date. I was offered a chance to design these learning material contents, with Articulate Storyline software, by the project manager. I've signed the contract, took a short term training and worked for two years part time.
