Served as the RFCDC's first director with a mission of diversifying and growing the economic base and enhancing the local quality of life. Grew new commercial enterprise zone investment in Rock Falls $11.2 million 2003-2006. Mobilized a multi-disciplinary team to successfully implement an environmental clean-up and revitalization program that was awarded $840,000 in IEPA/USEPA grants. Co-authored Whiteside County’s successful Federally Qualified Healthcare Clinic grant application—including business plan and budget system—for $650,000 annually. Collaboratively developed and marketed I-88 West regional brand.
