Sales Trainer

Apr 2021 - Present
As a retail sales trainer, I am in charge of the training and onboarding process for my new hires. From day one to their "certification day", I teach new associates how to navigate the complexities of operating a retail wireless store for an authorized UScellular agent, as well as give them the sales skills they need to thrive in a competitive, commission-based role. In addition to this, I am also partially responsible for curriculum development and revisions, being a resource for our existing staff, and helping out the rest of our management team wherever they may need it.Since my new hires could be at any of our 18 locations, I am in the unique position of being able to develop deep, authentic relationships with our entire staff of associates so that I can help them achieve their goals, as well as leverage their unique strengths to aid in the training of new associates. In July 2022, Quality Cellular expanded from 10 stores to 18. As senior trainer, I helped to bring on two new trainers so that they could provide the same excellent training experience to their new hires during a time when our company faced unprecedented expansion. Retail Wireless Consultant
-
Aug 2020 - Apr 2021
As a retail wireless consultant, I was tasked with using the needs-based sales process to help identify solutions for UScellular customers and support them when they needed assistance. I was passionate about ensuring that every customer that came into the store left with a positive feeling about their experience. Oftentimes going to the cell phone store is a long, arduous experience that leads to more questions than answers. My goal with each customer was to give comprehensive detail and set proper expectations—in addition to finding the right solution for their individual needs—so that the customer could be confident in their purchasing decision... even after their first bill came in the mail!Because of the relationships I built with the Middleton clientele, I was able to exceed my sales goals in all but two of the months I worked at the location, and was recognized as a top-10-selling part-time sales associate company-wide after only 3 months in 2020. I also was a consistent driver of positive Google reviews for the location; was recognized by UScellular corporate with a "High Five" Award for Q4 2020; and had a customer testimonial featured in corporate's Q4 2020 "Bringing Fairness to Wireless" newsletter.
