So proud to have been elected on to the national board of Hospitality New Zealand representing an industry I have only ever worked in and so passionate for, over 27 years.Hospitality New Zealand (Hospitality NZ) is a member-led, not-for-profit organisationrepresenting over 3,000 businesses, ranging across cafés, restaurants, bars, taverns, nightclubs,off-licences, and clubs. We have a 118-year history of advocating on behalf of the hospitalityand tourism sector. We recently launched Accommodation Association New Zealand as adivision of Hospitality NZ, representing close to 1000 commercial accommodation businesses,ranging from hotels, motels, holiday parks, backpackers, luxury lodges and apartments.Prior to COVID, the hospitality sector, which includes accommodation and food serviceoperations, consists of around 22,800 enterprises in just under 24,400 geographic locationsaround the country.
