Developed new provenance methods and described the provenance of the enormous Middle to Late Triassic Snadd and De Geerdalen Formations of the Barents Shelf. I developed a Cr-spinel provenance method, where I integrated trace element compositions with the conventional major-element based discrimination diagrams used in provenance. This approach help identify metamorphic alteration of the detrital Cr-spinel grains in the original source rock. I also did a conventional detrital zircon U/Pb, provenance study and developed a method using AI for automatic zircon grain identification and classification with a goal of sorting for grain recycling.
